Binsy is a Partner in the Arbitration and Dispute Resolution practice at New Delhi. She has over two decades of rich experience in handling high value arbitrations and cutting-edge litigation matters.
She is ranked for international arbitration and commercial disputes by Chambers & Partners (Asia-Pacific Guide and Global Guide), Legal 500 and Lexology, and is included in the list of leading disputes lawyers by Benchmark Litigation and AsiaLaw repeatedly.
Binsy handles complex cross-border arbitration and litigation matters primarily in technology and media, oil and gas, aviation, infrastructure and construction sectors.
She has been appointed counsel in arbitration matters before leading arbitral institutions, including ICC, SIAC, LCIA, AAA and CAM-CCBC as well as ad hoc tribunals, across jurisdictions including India, New York, Brazil, London and Singapore. She has also been at the forefront of high stakes commercial litigation matters before various domestic fora, including the NCLTs, NCLATs, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. She also regularly strategizes and advises clients on foreign litigations.
She is an arbitrator empaneled with the American Arbitration Association – International Centre for Dispute Resolution (AAA-ICDR) as well as a mediator appointed to the Singapore International Mediation Centre (SIMC) Specialist Mediators Panel. She also serves as a Director on the Board of Nani Palkhivala Arbitration Centre (NPAC) and Member of the AAA-ICDR India Committee.
She has significant experience representing intermediaries and digital platforms in challenges to takedown orders, as well as compliances with information technology laws including the Information Technology Act 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Access of Information by Public) Rules 2009. Her experience also includes guidance on safe harbour protections, content takedown, due diligence requirements, and regulatory responses to government and judicial orders.
