The Central Government has notified that Section 460 of the Companies Act 2013 will also apply to Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs). Section 460 provides that the Central Government may condone delay in cases where applications required to be made to the Central Government or documents required to be filed with the Registrar are not done within the time specified in the provision under the Act, after recording its reasons in writing. The applicability of this provision to LLPs is effective from 1 February 2020.
