Partner, Ameya Gokhale alongwith Kriti Kalyani, Principal Associate and Abhishek Mookherjee, Associate conducted a training session on “Procedural Aspects of Civil Litigation and Principles of Drafting of Civil Pleadings” for the in-house legal team of ECGC Limited on 17 July 2026. The session focused on key procedural aspects of civil litigation including procedural nuances under the Letters Patent Act, procedures and timelines under the Commercial Courts Act and best practices in drafting effective civil pleadings, both from a Plaintiff and Defendant’s standpoint to make them effective. The session also covered the lifecycle of a suit including framing of issues and evidence; and concluded with a discussion on the available appellate remedies including appeals, review, references, and execution of a decree.
