Namrata Ramachandran is a Partner in the Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs team of the Firm.

Namrata specializes in technology and cybersecurity regulation, helping clients navigate India’s increasingly complex regulatory landscape governing the procurement, delivery, and governance of digital services. Her practice sits at the intersection of technology law and sector-specific regulations, covering data localization, information security and cyber resilience, privacy and data protection, and content liability. She works closely with clients to translate fast-evolving regulatory requirements into practical, business-ready compliance strategies.

Namrata has focused on a range of cybersecurity matters including data breach and cyber incident response, regulatory compliance, and management of third-party risk. Her work in this space has spanned frameworks and sectors, including designing internal protocols to address obligations under the CERT-In Framework, the DPDP Framework and any sectoral data / information security requirements.

She brings deep experience in enterprise technology contracting, with a focus on complex, large-scale solutions. She routinely works with domestic and global clients on the full spectrum of technology outsourcing arrangements, from cloud services agreements and managed services arrangements to multi-vendor technology transformation programmes. She has advised global technology service providers on the structuring and negotiation of long-term technology arrangements with Indian service providers and has equally provided strategic support to enterprises in highly regulated sectors such as financial institutions and healthcare organisations, on the procurement of technology services.

Namrata has supported clients as they address intermediary liability and content risks, and related obligations around due diligence, grievance redressal, and takedown. She helps platforms and digital businesses navigate the evolving obligations placed on intermediaries, while meeting platform / product design and business objectives.

She also provides strategic advice on public procurement and government technology contracting matters, advising private sector companies on navigating the regulatory and commercial complexities of contracting with government and public sector enterprises.
