On 3rd June 2026, the Supreme Court released the “Draft Regulations for Use of Artificial Intelligence in Courts, 2026” (“Regulations”). These regulations may shift in how AI will be used in judicial processes, with the proposed framework grounded in human primacy, transparency, accountability, data protection, and judicial independence.

The Draft Regulations are open for public consultations till 20th June. They can be accessed here.
