India’s climate finance rules must put development first
January 30, 2026In the Union Budget 2024-25, the Ministry of Finance of India announced the development of a climate finance taxonomy (“Draft Taxonomy”), published in draft form in May 2025. As we await the final version, intended to remain a living document within an evolving framework, it is worth recognising that this is not just a technical labelling exercise.
