Veena Kolachina joined Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas (erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A. Shroff & Co.) in the year 2014 and is part of the Projects and Project Finance headed by Mr. Jatin Aneja.
Prior to working with us, she was working with Wadia Ghandy & Co., New Delhi in the Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate Laws team. She has around six years of experience in the field of corporate laws which includes structuring and advising on various domestic and international transactions pertaining to acquisition of companies, joint venture transaction, investments by private equity funds, restructuring of existing investments, etc.
As part of our Projects and Project Finance team, Veena’s experience includes advising on matters pertaining to inter alia renewable power project, infrastructure, debt financing in infrastructure projects and general corporate advisory. Veena has assisted in some of the largest corporate debt restructuring transactions including the restructuring of a listed company, BL Kashyap & Sons Limited. The transaction also involves provision of LNG transportation services through LNG trucks and leasing of regasification equipment to the potential customer which involves provision of advisory services on a road transport agreement and equipment leasing agreement.
- Advised an Indian infrastructure company in development of a regasification terminal with a capacity of 3 MMTPA in West Bengal, and drafting, negotiation and finalization of liquefied natural gas (LNG) sale and purchase agreements for procurement of LNG and gas sale agreements for sale of re-gasified – LNG.
- Advised one of the largest Indian conglomerate in relation to the entire process of establishment of an LNG regasification terminal with a capacity of 5 MMTPA proposed to be established in Bangladesh and drafting, negotiation and finalization of a gas sale agreements for sale of re-gasified – LNG to a public sector enterprise of the Government of Bangladesh.
- Advised Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL and GSPC on their arrangements with Swan LNG Limited for regasification at its proposed floating storage and regasification facilities in Gujarat, India.
- Advised Reliance Bangladesh Power Limited on the development of a 3.75 MTPA floating storage and regasification terminal in Kutubdia, Bangladesh.
- Advising Petronet LNG Limited on the development of a 7.5 MTPA land based LNG storage and regasification terminal at Kutubdia, Bangladesh.
- Advised an Indian infrastructure company on various aspects of the development of a proposed floating storage and regasification facility in Maharashtra, India.
